Through Newsday's groundbreaking undercover investigation, this video provides a powerful, real-world look at housing discrimination in practice—not just in theory. You'll see how subtle (and not-so-subtle) behaviors by real estate agents can result in unequal treatment of buyers based on race, often unconsciously.

Participants will:

  • Examine real recorded interactions between agents and testers posing as buyers of different races.

  • Understand how steering, differential treatment, and implicit bias show up in everyday client interactions.

  • Reflect on how personal actions—and inaction—can contribute to systemic discrimination.

  • Learn practical strategies to ensure equal treatment for all clients, beyond just legal compliance.

This eye-opening documentary is a wake-up call and a conversation starter—not just about what’s illegal, but about what’s ethical and fair.

Cost is free to attend and lunch will be provided.

The video is approx 45 minutes and open discussion will follow.
